European Union Whistleblower Directive should be implemented by the end of December 2021, but this deadline has been extended by several months. It is said that by the end of 2022 Directive will be officially adopted and its regulations will first cover entities that employ 250 and more employees, next, by December 17, 2023, they are due to be all companies with a minimum of 50 employees covered.

At the turn of January and February 2022, the European Union expressed deep dissatisfaction with the slow pace of implementation work Directives . Despite the fact that a large proportion of EU countries have expressed their willingness and consent to adopt new legislation on the whistleblower law, only a few have taken real action in relation to the introduction of appropriate provisions. It is not worth waiting for the last minute and it is better to familiarize yourself with the rules in force in the Union in time.
