Who needs an internal reporting procedure

Under EU Directive 2019/1937 and the national laws implementing it, every private company with 50 or more workers must run an internal reporting channel with a written procedure. Public sector bodies are covered regardless of size, and financial services firms are covered even below 50 workers. Smaller companies are free to adopt a procedure voluntarily, and many do, because a clear internal channel keeps reports in-house.

Is the generated procedure legally binding?

The document is a lawyer-reviewed template personalised with your company details. It becomes binding once your organisation formally adopts it, in Poland for example this requires consulting worker representatives and announcing the procedure to staff. Always have the final version checked against your own situation.

Which countries are supported?

Poland, Germany, Spain and France with templates built on their national whistleblower-protection laws, plus a general EU template based on Directive 2019/1937 for any other member state.

Does my company need an internal reporting procedure?

If you employ 50 or more people in the EU, yes. The threshold does not apply to financial services and some other regulated sectors, where the duty applies regardless of headcount. Public bodies are covered too. Below the threshold a procedure is recommended good practice.
